How to care for your mat

It is normal for your mat to have a slight scent when first opened, for best results unroll or hang your mat for 24-48hrs until the scent disappears. This is a perfectly normal scent with PU material.

PU is designed to absorb sweat to provide a non-slip grip. Moisture marks may appear after practicing, particularly on dynamic flows, and they normally dry after a few minutes, or can be easily cleaned by wiping your mat with a damp cloth. However heavy sweating, lotions and even natural oils from skin can leave more permanent marks.

How to clean your mat:

  1. For regular cleaning, spray some soapy water and gently wipe over the mat, allow to dry naturally.
  2. For a deeper clean, combine 1 cup lukewarm water with 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Use a microfibre cloth to gently rub over the stain, clean and wipe.

Hang or leave the mat unrolled and let it dry completely before rolling or using.

Avoid soaking - too much water can seep into the base and damage the mat

Never use essential oils, alcohol, or harsh cleaners as these can permanently stain or degrade the PU coating.

Heat damage: we recommend avoiding prolonged heat and direct sunlight , as it can damage the mat surface.

Roll correctly: roll with the top surface facing out to prevent creases.
