In just over 12 days, an extraordinary team of tradespeople, suppliers and volunteers came together to transform The Joshua Tree’s Family Support Centre in Cheshire.
Working alongside BBC Children in Need and the team from DIY SOS, the project brought together hundreds of skilled professionals and community volunteers, all united by one goal: to create a dedicated wellbeing space for families affected by childhood cancer.
Through an incredible show of generosity, collaboration and determination, the build delivered a brand-new wellbeing centre designed to support children, young people and their families throughout their cancer journey. The transformed facility now provides welcoming spaces for counselling, therapy, rehabilitation and family support, helping ensure that no family has to face childhood cancer alone.
The project stands as a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when communities come together to support an important cause.
